The Middle East and North Africa chapter of the International Federation for Travel and Tourism Technologies (IFITT) celebrates World Tourism Day in Riyadh in collaboration with the International Federation of Tourism (IFT MENA) and announces that Saudi travel blogger Abdulaziz Al-Salama is the 2024 Travel Blogger of the Year for the Middle East and North Africa.
As part of the World Tourism Day celebrations, the International Federation for Travel and Tourism Technologies for the Middle East and North Africa is pleased to announce:
A special event will be organized in Riyadh in cooperation with several tourism-related entities, such as governmental bodies, universities, and tourism associations in the region. The event, supervised by the federation, will feature a series of activities and events aimed at promoting tourism and supporting efforts in this field.
In this context, the World Tourism Day Committee, composed of the IFT MENA and the Digital Travel Association, announces the selection of prominent Saudi blogger, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Salama, as the 2024 Personality of the Year for the Middle East and North Africa. This selection was based on an online poll conducted by the IFT MENA in 2023 to identify the most influential bloggers in the region, in which Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Salama topped the results.
He will also be honored by the celebration committee with the “Traveler of the Century Award,” granted to any blogger who has visited more than 100 countries around the world and documented their travels through passports or entry visas.
This honor comes in recognition of Mr. Abdulaziz’s significant contributions to travel blogging, where he is considered one of the most prominent figures in the Middle East and North Africa in this field. He enjoys a large following among travel and tourism enthusiasts.
Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Salama will be the main guest of honor at the event in Riyadh and the Personality of the Year for the celebration. He will share his experiences and stories in tourism, enriching the event and inspiring participants. The event is expected to be attended by several prominent figures and tourism experts, enhancing the significance of the event and adding great value to the celebrations.
This celebration reaffirms the role of the International Federation for Travel and Tourism Technologies for the Middle East and North Africa in supporting and developing tourism worldwide.
