The International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) is delighted to welcome the global eTourism community to Madrid, Spain, for the 34th edition of the ENTER eTourism Conference, taking place from 12th to 16th, January 2027.
For more than three decades, ENTER has served as the leading international conference dedicated to the application of information and communication technologies in travel and tourism. ENTER27 continues this tradition by bringing together researchers, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers, destination managers, and technology innovators from around the world to exchange ideas, present cutting-edge research, and explore the future of tourism in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
Madrid: A global hub of culture, innovation, and tourism
As the capital of Spain and one of Europe’s most vibrant and dynamic cities, Madrid offers an exceptional setting for ENTER27. Renowned for its rich cultural heritage, world-class museums, historic neighborhoods, gastronomy, and welcoming atmosphere, Madrid combines centuries of tradition with a strong commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological development.
Madrid is also one of Europe’s leading tourism destinations and an important international business and academic center. Its advanced infrastructure, excellent international connectivity, thriving startup ecosystem, and strong focus on smart city initiatives make it an ideal host city for discussions on the future of tourism and digital transformation.
Participants attending ENTER27 will have the opportunity not only to engage in inspiring academic and professional discussions, but also to experience the energy, creativity, and hospitality that make Madrid one of the world’s most exciting urban destinations.
Autonomous University of Madrid: Our Esteemed Partner
ENTER27 will be hosted at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, or UAM), a prestigious public university founded in 1968. The university offers a wide array of official degrees, including dozens of undergraduate programs, over 80 master’s degrees, and specialized doctoral tracks. UAM’s Degree in Tourism combines corporate management, transport economics, and destination planning, capitalizing on its strategic proximity to the UN Tourism headquarters in Madrid. The university is highly renowned for its cutting-edge research in sustainable destination development, cultural asset management, and smart tourism, which explores the integration of artificial intelligence and metadata into the hospitality sector.
