Stanislav Ivanov is a Full Professor at Varna University of Management, Bulgaria, and Director of Zangador Research Institute, Bulgaria. His current research interests focus on the economic and social aspects of robots and AI, robots and AI in tourism/hospitality, responsible AI use in research, and the economics of technology.

He holds a BA in International Tourism (minor: Finance), MSc in Tourism, and PhD in Tourism Economics from the University of Economics-Varna, Bulgaria.

At Varna University of Management, he served for 16 years as Academic Director (2008-2012), Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs (2012-2016) and Vice-Rector (Research) (2016-2014).

Prof. Ivanov is the Founder and (Co-)Editor-in-chief of two academic journals: European Journal of Tourism Research and ROBONOMICS: The Journal of the Automated Economy.
