Stefanie Warum 

I’m a senior product manager who’s passionate about making travel better through technology. My journey in the travel tech world has been quite the adventure, and I’d love to share a bit of it with you. 

I kicked off my career with a deep dive into tourism, studying Tourism & Leisure Management. It was during this time that I caught the tech bug, realizing how digital solutions could really shake things up in the travel industry. This spark of interest? It turned into a full-blown passion that’s been driving me ever since. 

My first real taste of the industry came as a research trainee at the European Travel Commission. I got to see firsthand how data and market insights could shape tourism strategies. This experience was invaluable, setting the stage for my future roles. 

Fast forward a bit, and I found myself at Alturos Destinations. Starting as an IT Project Manager, I worked my way up to Senior Product Manager. Along the way, I’ve worn many hats – from managing e-commerce projects to leading teams and shaping product strategies. Each role taught me something new about the challenges and opportunities in travel tech. 

Today, I’m leading the charge on developing cutting-edge travel tech solutions. My focus? Using AI to create travel experiences that are more personal, efficient, and sustainable. Whether it’s building new e-commerce platforms or finding innovative ways to market destinations, I’m always looking for ways to push the envelope. 

You know what really gets me excited? Seeing how our work impacts real people. Every solution we develop has the potential to make someone’s trip more memorable or help a small tourism business thrive. That’s what keeps me going. 

As I continue my journey, including pursuing a Master’s in Applied AI, I’m more pumped than ever about the future of travel tech. I believe we’re on the brink of some really cool developments in tourism, where AI and human creativity will come together to create experiences we’ve only dreamed of.
