Rodolfo Baggio
Rodolfo Baggio holds a degree in Physics (MPhys) and a PhD in Tourism Management. After an extensive experience in the information technology industry, he joined Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), where he teaches courses on quantitative analysis of tourism phenomena and digital strategies at the Master in Economics and Tourism and is a research fellow at the Dondena Center for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy.
He actively researches and publishes in the field of e-tourism and on the application of complexity theory and network analysis to tourism destinations, has held several courses and lectures at national and international level and serves as reviewer for a number of international conferences and scholarly journals; he is editor of the letters section of Current Issues in Tourism and associate editor of the Journal of Information Technology and Tourism. Rodolfo is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, past vice-president of IFITT, founding member of the Italian chapter of the Internet Society and member of the Italian Physical Society.
In 2017, he was awarded the Hannes Werthner Tourism and Technology Lifetime Achievement Award by IFITT.
