With over 17 years in the travel and hospitality industry, I am currently an Area Manager at Expedia Group in Warsaw, Poland. I lead a team in account management and strategy implementation for lodging products, driving revenue, and building strong relationships with partners. My previous roles at Expedia include Senior Market Manager and Market Manager, focusing on revenue growth and sustainable relationships with local lodging suppliers. I also have experience as a Revenue Specialist, Online Distribution Manager in hotels, and Online Sales Agent for the tour operator.

I am passionate about e-commerce, travel, and technology that innovates these areas, as well as developing teams, solving problems, and business development.

He has written more than two hundred scientific and technical texts, including articles in journals such as Empirical Software Engineering, Software Quality Journal, Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering, Science of Computer Programming, Journal of Systems and Software, IEEE Latin America, Object Expert, Computer Standards & Interfaces, ERCIM News, Personal Computer World, L’Objet, Qualirama, Sistemas de Informação and Interface. His work has been cited nearly 4K times, with an h-index of 30, according to Google Scholar. His research group QUASAR (QUantitative Approaches in Software Engineering And Reengineering) pioneered empirical software engineering in Portugal.

Since 2020, he has led or co-led several funded national and international projects on ICT for sustainability topics, such as digital transformation of tourism and tourism overcrowding mitigation (covering aspects such as agent-based simulation, real-time detection, 3D spatio-temporal visualization, and sustainability assessment).
