Iis Tussyadiah

I am Professor and the Head of School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) at University of Surrey. My research focuses on the applications and implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the service sector, covering topics such as human-AI teaming, digital nudging, and sustainability transitions. I have secured research funding from various sources, including a £1.4M EPSRC grant for a project on data privacy in the travel sector. I am passionate about using technology to forge new pathways to a better future and advancing scholarship and impact in hospitality and tourism management.

As the Head of SHTM, I lead a globally renowned school that ranks #2 in the world and #1 in the UK for hospitality and tourism management (ShanghaiRanking’s GRAS 2022 & 2023). I am committed to cultivating future leaders, developing and sustaining partnerships, and fostering a transformative approach to education and research.
