Giovanni Baldi

Giovanni Baldi, 31, is an Italian PhD candidate (March 2025) in destination marketing at the University of Salerno, where he also serves as a research fellow and assistant lecturer. He has been a visiting postgraduate scholar at the University of Bath and the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. He is a member of the Tourism, Sport, and Entertainment Committee of the Municipality of Castellabate (Salerno), a tourism marketing consultant, and a hospitality micro-entrepreneur. His research focuses on tourists, visitors (and fans) of destinations and cultural institutions, exploring how they engage with brands, communities, and technologies.
