Jelena Dorčić, Ph.D., is a Senior Assistant at the University of Rijeka in Croatia, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Department of Quantitative Economics. Her research focuses on online customer behavior, service quality, smart tourism, and the application of quantitative and qualitative methods in the tourism and hospitality industry.

She has collaborated on several scientific projects, both as a team member and a team leader. Currently, she is leading a scientific project titled “An Analysis of Daily Deals Websites Adoption as a Distribution Channel in Hospitality: A Mixed Methods Approach.” In 2020, she received a literature award for an outstanding paper published in Tourism Review.

Dr. Dorčić is actively involved in academic publishing and editorial work. She serves as the social media editor for the scientific journal Tourism and Hospitality Management and is a member of the editorial review board of Tourism Review. She has also contributed to the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT), previously serving as the ENTER24 overall chair and currently holding the position of Director of Events.
