Dr. Gozde Turktarhan is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Marketing and Professional Development, University of Chester, UK. Her work explores the connections between technology, consumer behaviour, and sustainable business practices, particularly in the fields of marketing, tourism, and digital transformation.
Her research focuses on digitalization in tourism, hospitality, and events, exploring themes such as smart tourism, big data, and consumer decision-making. She has contributed to research through journal publications, book chapters, and presentations at international conferences on topics such as smart tourism, AI-driven marketing, and sustainability in the visitor economy.
Dr. Turktarhan was a Visiting Research Scholar at the M3 Center for Hospitality Technology and Innovation at the University of South Florida, USA. As an active member of the academic community, she serves as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Global Business Insights and has contributed to industry-focused research on consumer behaviour in digital and smart tourism contexts.
Recognized for her dedication to student learning, Dr. Turktarhan was shortlisted for the Best Personal Academic Tutor/Professional Mentor Award (2024) and nominated for Excellence in Communications (2023) at the University of Chester. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and has been involved in various academic initiatives, including organizing international conferences and professional training programs.
