Filippo Renga

Co-Founder of the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, a research center that employs more than 150 people and funded by more that 650 companies, where he launched and coordinated the Observatories on Travel Innovation, Smart AgriFood, Fintech & Insurtech and Mobile (Mobile & App Economy, Marketing & Service, Payment & Commerce, Banking, Enterprise).  

Since 2014 he has been participating as a speaker to present the research findings of the Travel Innovation Observatory at TTG Travel Experience, the main Italian exhibition dedicated to the world of travel.  During the years of research carried out by the Observatory, he has worked with more than 50 companies in the tourism industry, both as part of the Observatory’s activities and for ad hoc projects. 

Thanks to research activity, he gained experience about the digitisation of the sector, concerning both digital innovation along the tourism supply chain (hospitality, organized tourism, destinations, startups, …) and the behaviour of the digital tourist during the digital journey. 

He is co-author of various academic articles on Digital Innovation and Mobile services. 

His fields of study and dissemination are advanced mobile services and digital consumer services and in particular the following topics: Mobile Content, Internet & Apps, Mobile Marketing & Customer Care, Mobile Commerce & Payment, Digital Finance, Mobile Economy and Mobile Business.  

He is Co-Founder of 5 startups with a turnover of more than €100 million to date.
