DESCRIPTION:IFITTTalk@Opatija – Student innovation competition\nIFITTTalk@Opatija will take place on 7 October 2023 at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management (University of Rijeka) as a special event within the Wave 4 Tourism student conference in Opatija. The event is the final of the student innovation competition. At the beginning of July\, the competition was launched with the theme “The future is now: Technology needs of Hilton”. Interested students could form teams of three students and register for the competition by submitting written proposals\, a mood board and a motivation for participation. In the second round\, the selected teams had to submit their final solutions. Six teams will present their ideas on how Hilton could use new and unique technologies to improve internal and external communication\, make the guest experience more enjoyable or increase the productivity of Hilton team members. Teams will have 10 minutes to present their final solution to the judging panel. Following the presentations\, a moderated panel discussion will take place\, featuring the directors of Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa and experts in the field of tourism and hospitality innovation. The panellists will discuss what trends will shape the future of the hospitality industry and provide valuable feedback on the solutions presented by the students. The student audience is encouraged to participate in the discussion. The event will conclude with the announcement of the winners. All participants will receive a certificate of participation\, while the first three places will receive a certificate indicating the place achieved and a Hilton prize.
